Lauren Reynolds BPhty (Hons) – Director/Physiotherapist
Lauren has been working in private practice since 2005 after graduating from the University of Queensland with First Class Honours. Her honours research investigated the role of transversus abdominis in lumbopelvic stability using real-time ultrasound.
Lauren has had a special interest in women’s health since graduating from university, in particular the pre and post-natal period of a woman’s life. This passion has grown over the years which eventually led to the establishment of Blossoming Bellies. Lauren has attended numerous post-graduate courses in the areas of women’s health and Clinical Pilates, and she has a particular interest in pregnancy Pilates and the management of rectus diastasis. Lauren believes that the childbearing years are a very special time in a woman’s life and she gains much pleasure in helping women through this period of their life. Lauren is also the proud mother of a beautiful daughter.
Carissa Fadelli BExSci, MPhtySt – Physiotherapist
Carissa graduated from Griffith University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Exercise Science and then went on to complete her Masters of Physiotherapy Studies at the University of Queensland before joining Allsports Physiotherapy Toowong in February 2015. Carissa developed a special interest in the field of women’s health shortly after commencing work in private practice, and is passionate about helping women through the pre- and post-natal period by addressing common issues such as pelvic girdle pain and abdominal separation. With her background in exercise science, she also enjoys guiding women through appropriate exercises during pregnancy and returning to exercise post birth. Carissa has attended numerous post-graduate women’s health courses to expand her knowledge in this rewarding area of physiotherapy.
Cecile Lejoly Dip. RMT – Massage Therapist
Cecile graduated from her Diploma of Remedial Massage in March 2011 and began working at Allsports Toowong a few months later. She is passionate about helping women enjoy their pregnancy as much as possible by reducing strains and stresses the biomechanical changes bring with pregnancy. She treats all stages of pregnancy though some lighter techniques are preferred in the first trimester. Post – natal massages are also available and will help you maintain your range of movement, improve sleep and diminish the effects of poor posture following the repetition of activities such as breastfeeding and carrying your baby around.
