Blossoming Bellies offers Pregnancy and Post-natal exercise classes in a small group environment. Referrals are not necessary however it is advised that you seek medical advice prior to commencing an exercise regime. In specific cases, a doctor’s referral may be necessary. Please feel free to call the clinic on (07) 3871 1799 to discuss your suitability with the physiotherapist prior to commencing these classes.
Please bring a water bottle to each class. It is advised that you wear light, cool clothing to each class for your comfort.

These classes are conducted and supervised by physiotherapists and therefore private health insurance rebates may apply.
Pregnancy ‘Strength and Core’ Classes
This one hour class is a circuit-style class incorporating mat-based exercises, fitball exercises and reformer exercises. Classes are designed specifically for pregnant women by our qualified physiotherapists, and focus on core stability, toning, strengthening and flexibility, with particular attention on the deep abdominal muscles and pelvic floor. Exercises can be modified to accommodate to each woman’s ability. Stretches and pelvic floor practice concludes this class.
Women can attend these classes from 12 weeks gestation. Maximum of 7 attendees per class.
Please note: Attendees must undertake a Pregnancy exercise assessment prior to entering this class.
Cost – $22 per visit.
Class Times: Tuesdays at 6:30pm and Saturdays at 8:15am
Post-natal ‘Strength and Core’ Classes
Our post-natal exercise classes are highly beneficial for those women who have recently had a baby. Proper recovery following pregnancy and childbirth is vital to preventing ongoing pelvic floor, abdominal and pelvic instability issues. Our post-natal classes are a safe form of exercise following the birth of your baby, with classes concentrating on improving pelvic floor function and deep abdominal muscle strength, as well as improving posture and general strength and flexibility. All exercises are pelvic floor safe.
This one hour class is a circuit-style class incorporating mat-based exercises, fitball exercises and reformer exercises. Classes are supervised by a qualified physiotherapist and can be modified to suit your fitness level and individual needs.
Women can attend these classes from 6 weeks post birth. Maximum of 7 attendees per class.
Please note: New mothers must undertake a post-pregnancy assessment before they can commence our Post-natal exercise classes. Please also note that this is a baby-free class.
Cost – $22 per visit.
