Physiotherapy-led pregnancy exercise classes are a highly beneficial addition to any pregnancy fitness regime. It is important for women to exercise safely and regularly during pregnancy to reduce the risk of pain and discomfort during this period, as well as preparing your body for the rigours of labour and the recovery period.

Blossoming Bellies offers group pregnancy exercise classes that are a modified circuit-style class incorporating mat-based exercises, fitball exercises and reformer exercises. Classes are designed specifically for pregnant women by our qualified physiotherapists, with particular attention being paid to the deep abdominals and pelvic floor. Exercises can be modified to accommodate to each woman’s ability. Stretches, pelvic floor practice and relaxation conclude this class.

Women can attend these classes from 12 weeks gestation. Classes are performed in small groups (maximum of 4 attendees per class) which allows for close supervision by the physiotherapist.

Cost – $22 per class (Health Fund rebates may apply)

Class Times: Mondays at 6:15pm, Tuesdays at 6:30pm and Saturdays at 8:15am
